| Purchased 2 12" cobalt subs in a box for son for xmas. He is now looking to put grilles over them to protect them in his trunk (he is 17 and needs them). Looking on internet, found many to choose from, but nothing that states "for Orion", just universals. Has anyone bought grilles that fit without drilling extra holes in his box?

Orion doesn't manufacture a grill for subs so your best bet would be a universal grill, you will only be putting "holes" in the boxs if your screw goes all the way through the box.
