I am currently looking into buying a hcca15.2 speaker and i was wondering if the hcca25001 amp will bee too much power for this speaker? amp puts out 2500rms @ 1 ohm. the hcca 15.2 is rated at 2000w rms. do i just adjust amp down or is their a better way to power this speaker?
Also should i go sealed or ported?
Any advise would be greatly appreciated

| go ported to spec and that amp will power that sub nicely. that sub will take alot more punishment than that. run it at 1 ohm and make sure you have a solid 1" box and electrical system and you will be good.

| That is the perfect amp, but box depends on your taste. 1" at least on the thickness. But ported is more volume, sealed will yield a tighter, cleaner bass response-. So it all just depends on what you like to hear.

Amp will work just fine, and like they said what kind of sound are you looking for? Daily setup or number chaser? And to run an amp like that your gonna need some battery to back it up.

| The battery mentioned in the above posts is only going to do something if you're sitting idle, 12.5v, when you start your car, your batt is no longer working, that's your alt. Beef up your altenator if you mainly cruise listening to your music.
