2 10.4 hcca's in a sealed box or ported?????

I dont know if i should build box sealed or ported. I have had alot of bad luck with ported boxes not hitting many notes. Im not sure what u should tune the box if i made it ported or how big i should build it. Any help. Tuning frequency and enclosure size.....

I need to know what size cu ft box should I make for 2 15.2s I am putting it in a 4 door 96 yukon. I am powering it with 2 soundstream rub1.2500. I really like the box that is posted up by Bobby 9 cu but shouldnt I go bigger I am thinkin a box about 46w x 32 deep x 28 height any ideas?

Hey gurus, I'm looking at fitting 4 CO124s in the back of my avalanche firing forward into the seating area, being run by 2 CO8001. I listen to dance, house, hip-hop, rap music. Max dimensions of the area i have to work with is 49" wide by 19" height by depth-whatever it needs to be! I would like to build 2 seperate enclosures because of install and removal purposes, a lot easier to do by myself! So, basically what i need from you is enclosure sizes, slotted port sizes and what the enclosures are tunned to, thanks.

Sup guys New here ( Bobby ) from Arlington Tx . Thought I would post some pix of the box I just did being a daily . I did get a 149.7 out of it. 35hz tune..

Im starting another one this weekend. Im doing it out of 1" this time. with 3.05 per sub net. using right at 50 sq in of port area per sub. Just be 1 port right at 100 sq in. but im going down to 32-33 hz

This thing should hit way low.. Running a T4000 to them

WAY BACK IN 1991-1994 ORION PUBLISHED A NEWSLETTER I THINK IT WAS MONTHLY. IT WAS CALLED AUTOMOTIVE AUDIO, THE ORION NEWSLETTER. IN ONE OF THE ISSUES THEY PRINTED A DESIGN FOR AN OLD XTR 12-4 IN A DUAL REFLEX BANDPASS BOX. THIS ENCOSURE ROCKED. I HAVE A CABINENT SHOP AND BUILD MANY BOXES. A FEW YEARS AGO I LOST THE MAGAZINE AND ALL NOTES ON VARIANCES I USED TO CONSTRUCT THE BOX. DOES ANY ONE RECALL WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT? I WOULD BE VERY GREATFULL IF ANYONE CAN REMEMBER THIS. I WOULD LOVE TO MODIFY THE ORIGINAL DESIGN TO WORK WITH SOME OF THE NEW KICK-BUTT HCCA12 SUBS.

I have a new Orion HCCA 15.4 sub and lookin to build the box with the specs specified on the orion website of 2000+ watts. Im having a lil problem understanding where the vent will be going. Can anyone help me out and explain or have a pic of what the box is suppose to look like.

Hello all. I'm Nelson, I own Bobwires, and I sell Orion up here in Ketchikan, AK. I figured I'd post a few of the boxes I've built.

the most recent one was an XTR10, and it had a very goofy shape with some compound angles - It was built to fit in between the front and rear consoles of an '01 F150 King Ranch.

just needs some carpet. I wanted to trim it out a little nicer with 2-tone vinyl with end caps, but the owner cheaped out.

Here was a BMW with a stock ABS plastic sub box for 2 6" subs that I modified and glassed up for another XTR10

here's the box construction. My original plan was to duraglass it up to the shape I wanted, and also make the seams smooth and no 90degree or less draft angles so I could pop a mold of the whole thing, but I ran out of time and had to glass it up and install it.

this was a quickie ported 2-15 box, with XTRPros, in the nasty pedophile-looking van that belongs to a friend of mine. He had to leave town back to where he was based, and we'll wrap it up and add some more gear when he returns.

Help With BP-HP12D4

Hey i had bought the orion bass pack (the one with 2 12" subs) from my buddy a while back before he left for the army at a great price so i couldn't pass it up but since i have a 99 dakota single cab i obviously couldn't fit the thing in my car so i decided to take them out of the box and i sold one to my friend and the sold the box. Now my problem is that i am about to build a custom box for it and i can't find anything on the recommened Cu Ft. anywhere. If anyone knows how many Cu Ft. the box is supposed to be please let me know, also before i build this box i have a choice between sealed and ported. I have a single cab dakota and the box is going where my center council is now. Also currently i have a shallow mounted sealed MTX Thunder 6000 and i love how clean it sounds. Personally i would rather have the sub clean than ridiculously loud. Any suggestions?

I have a lexus is350 the box will be in the trunk with the sub facing the rear of the car....and got 1 orion hcca 10.4 with an orion HCCA 225r, for now, going to be getting a bigger amb after I build the box( around 1600WRMS).... gonna build a sub box of this size...tell me if Im doing anything wrong here before I start building it, box vol is 1.951ft3.. not inclding the sub

28 wide

14 high

14 deep

with a L slot port 2"x11.25x15=tuned to 31.79HZ

so tell me what you think!

I have an old school hcca 10 with a maroon basket not sure what year that was from needing to know specs on it to build a box

also have two of the carbon fiber NT's 10" lookin for specs on them as well

Best box for Orion hcca 10.2

Hey again guys im need for the best size box What i need to know is what is really best for my sub a 10.2 running off a d2400 at 1200wRMS 1ohm,

im deffnatly making it vented, and the sub is going to be upright, i have found some 8mm perspex glass just for 30cmX40cm window on the front of the box, (i hope this will hold),

i Know in the book it says 1.2cu.ft. and that is port tuning frequency at 38hz (apparently)

the mdf thickness is recommend at 1inch thick, what im asking is what it goes by the book is that really the best i know from orion owners they always say the bigger the box the sub better works in,

This is to go on the back seats which have all been stripped out will be on a straight surface. want the box bang in the middle with amp one side and logo decal the other going to fiberglass both sides to make it look neat but not going to fiberglass the box cos i want it to sound the best not look the best!

dont mind gettin technical.

I have the Orion H2 subs 12.4 and need help with a good air space to run the subs I will be pushing about 1500 watts to each one in a Yukon with the 3rd row seat in so I am not working with alot of room but I am getting the box build by a shop but I would like to know what is the best air space for them?
